AQ 360 seems to have a memory leakage.  The longer it's open, used or not the memory counts climb.  Starts out around 200 MB and I have to kill it when it reaches about a gig.  My CPU usage stays at 100% whenever AQ 360 is in use.

Thank you both for the updates. I will make sure the developers are aware of your notes and findings.
So...
I doubled my memory to 2 gigs to help out and AQ360 responded by doubling its memory usage to 760meg. What do you make of that?
I will add my two cents worth because I am NOT having an issue with AQ360 taking all my memory. Running Windows 7 64bit, 3gb RAM. AQ360 sits open all day on my desktop. Takes about 385mb memory.

Of greater concern is my CPU usage. Sitting open but idle sllauncher.exe takes between 32% and 40% of my CPU. For comparison Outlook when pinging my server for new mail only uses about 5%. Even allowing for frequent communication back to the server looking for changes from that end, I cannot imagine why the AQ360 program needs such a large amount of CPU while sitting idle.

I have not checked my data line traffic, but with this high a CPU usage I can guess why AQ recommends a 3mbps data line minimum.

BTW I successfully run AQ360 using a VPN network that shares voice and data for several users and runs at a speed much less than 3mbps from my remote location to our VPN hub (and a much faster T3 connection from there through our firewall and out to the internet). While I am sure my experience would be better with a faster line, it is quite acceptable at 1.5 mbps on a shared line.
Thanks for your input Al. I have spent a little time watching how using 360 effects CPU and Memory usage. I find that 360 takes at least 40% CPU idle and peaks at 100% anytime the program is asked to do something. Memory usage starts a roughly 300mb and in the case of yesterday ended at nearly 1gb after a few hours of running.
I spoke with a few people close to me who are far geekier than I am and it sounds like the biggest problem I may have is that my CPU may be underpowered to run 360 efficiently. I may just have to give AQ a break every few hours to clear the memory.
Joe,

This issue is still being looked at by the developers...I do not have new info to discuss with you currently.
Hi, I'm having SSLAUNCHER.EXE problems. The longer I use AQNet the slower the rest of my computer gets. and I'll eventually get an error SSLAUNDER.EXT has encounted an error and needs to close message. I have a Dell Vostro 420 Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33 GHZ 1.98 GHZ 2.00 GB Ram Windows XP professional version 2002 servie pack 3. 198GB free space
Hello Evelyn,

We are aware of these issues, I know that it is in the hands of programming right now. They are still trying to resolve this issue and prevent it from occurring.
I've right clicked before & saw a 'remove this application' - I don't suppose this is an option?
that option would remove AQ360 from your, in the same way as using the option under 'add/remove programs', in control panel.
Joe this thread has been going on a long time, and I for one still see the memory leakage issue with Silverlight. Do you have any updates or workarounds to keep AQ360 from consuming memory?

Hello Paul,

Thank you for posting to the AQ360 forum today.   I cannot think of anything else that would help other than restarting.  I believe that this is going to be a matter best handled by the programmers.

I haven't seen the memory usage climb like it had been. The only workaround I have found is to exit and restart. This is necessary if I ask to much of it and it flatly refuses to respond, which is a couple times a day. I suspect this is a result of it using 50% CPU when idle and 100% when its working.
