In AQ360 when you have quoted an item with base items as accessories then later change the first item, all of the subsaquent items change by a multiple of the difference in the quantities.

I quoted (2) Metro DD24K3 with other Metro accessories.  The customer requested that I change the quantity to (6) so AQ360 changed all of the subsaquent items quantities changed by a multiplier of 3.

Hi Keith,

Thanks for your post.

The paradigm you describe has been in use for some years now in previous version of AutoQuotes.  Most of the time, you will want your accessory quantities to change when the base item changes.  Shelving, unfortunately is the primary exception.   Changing this model after this long would cause confusion for everyone who is used to it working this way as well as create potential additional work when accessorizing most items.

Problem is that when this occurs with items such as shelving and product is delivered with a multiplier of 6 there is a financial fiasco, not just a hardship on someone having to change a number in a column.

We certainly understand that Keith.  As Rob implied in the post above, as this is how the program works, you need to be aware of that when doing quotes & need to check shelving items thoroughly.  That is how I always, handled it as a dealer.  Being aware helped prevent such scenarios.  How did you handle it in AQNet?
