I sent a PXF file to a customer to import.  Once he imported the quote, he didn't have access to cut sheets for the standard items quoted.

Hello Keith,

The PXF files do not contain cutsheets.  They only contain the data that is on  the spreadsheet.  If the item on the spreadsheet is able to be linked to an item in our catalog, it should detect it automatically and print the cutsheet when the user prints.  With that being said, if the item is a custom item, then the user will not see the cutsheets, unless you send them with the PXF.

What version of AutoQuotes does the other user use?

So if I send a quote that has a base item of a custom model numer and then add a base item as accessory AQ360 will not associate the standard item with the cut sheet?  My AQ360 does show the cut sheets but when imported on his end it does not.

"So if I send a quote that has a base item of a custom model number and then add a base item as accessory AQ360 will not associate the standard item with the cut sheet?"

No, it should link the base accessory's item number to the catalog.

What I meant was this; If I create an item, add my own cutsheet to it, then email you that PXF, you would not have access to the cutsheet. We do not store your custom PDFs on our servers.  Those would be local to you, therefore, if you send a PXF file, the user importing it would not see the images, unless we previously had the item in our catalog.  That is why you can see it and he cannot.

I have not created a cut sheet for any custom items.  I quoted a custom item (SCHHD460GTS) with standard base items (HD60G and 85UFF(4) ) in it and he did not have the PDF icon in the cut sheet field for the standard items.

I will assume he is using AQ360, if not please let me know.

On occasion some items, will De-link in the PXF conversion process. He may need to re-link those items to the catalog.

If he needs to re-link an item in AQ360, you can do so by right-clicking on the item and selecting "Link to Catlog."

An easy way to tell if an item needs to be re-linked would be to look at the font color of the model number.  If the font color is gray, it is likely not locating that item in our catalog and would required being linked.
